Project Manager

Industra Construction Corp is a multi‑disciplined, self‑perform general contractor actively seeking individuals who wish to advance within our organization and whose contributions directly affect the growth and direction of the company.

Job Details

Location: Mississauga office, Toronto, ON. Full‑time. Salary up to $175,000 per year. The role is available for relocation or reliable commuting to Toronto.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Develop a cost‑effective plan and schedule for project completion following a logical pattern for resource utilization.
  • Minimize exposure and risk by implementing safety standards and quality assurance controls.
  • Coordinate work of subcontractors across various phases of multiple projects.
  • Oversee performance of all trade contractors and review engineering drawings to ensure compliance with specifications and regulations.
  • Administer construction contracts and obtain all necessary permits and licenses.
  • Supervise assistant managers and superintendents, review their reports, address reported difficulties, and correct safety or quality violations.
  • Track and control construction schedules and associated costs to achieve project completion within allocated time and budget.
  • Report progress to owners, engineers, and portfolio managers, including necessary modifications to project plans.
  • Plan, implement, track, and closeout construction projects; conduct project meetings.
  • Manage day‑to‑day operational and tactical aspects of multiple construction projects in a supervisory role.
  • Handle client interactions and expectations, directly or through supervision.
  • Accurately forecast revenue, profitability, and project costs.
  • Achieve or exceed revenue goals set for projects.
  • Generate and issue regular project reporting through company software (Viewpoint).
  • Proactively identify changes in project scope and ensure appropriate measures are taken.
  • Project changes in scope and revenue, administering the submittal review process between subcontractors/suppliers and the owner or owner’s representative.
  • Review field inspection reports from consultants throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Maintain contract execution tracking log and keep management informed about project status and potential client‑impacting issues.
  • Accept periodic, relatively short‑term travel required on out‑of‑town projects.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a project manager in heavy civil and structural construction disciplines.
  • Experience with structural buildings and process mechanical construction is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of safety standards, quality assurance, construction contracts, permits, and licensing.
  • Secondary school education required.
  • Valid driving licence required.
  • Experience working with the CLAC union in British Columbia and Ontario is advantageous.

Location & Travel

Must reliably commute to or relocate to Toronto, ON. Periodic short‑term travel may be required for out‑of‑town projects.
