Job summary

Dream Theory is seeking a highly organized VFX Production Manager to join our Vancouver studio on a 3-month contract, with ASAP start within the next month. You’ll coordinate schedules, artists, and clients while maintaining production flow in a fast-paced startup environment.

Responsibilities include tracking progress, versions, and approvals using Frame.io and ftrack, and exploring AI-assisted workflows with Codex and Claude to improve efficiency and scalability.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in VFX production, post-production, or a similar creative environment.
• Hands-on experience with Frame.io and ftrack or similar
• Familiarity with Codex, Claude or similar AI-assisted workflow tools.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• A proactive, adaptable approach to managing multiple projects in a start-up environment.

Dream Theory is an AI-assisted visual effects studio working across commercial, film, and television projects. We combine traditional VFX techniques with generative technology to deliver high-quality work through practical, evolving production workflows.

We’re looking for a highly organized, proactive VFX Production Manager who can build structure, keep productions moving, and help establish scalable workflows in a fast-paced start-up environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Manage VFX schedules, shot tracking, task assignments, and delivery deadlines.
• Coordinate artists, supervisors, producers, and clients.
• Track versions, reviews, feedback, and approvals using Frame.io and ftrack.
• Monitor production progress, resources, and potential risks.
• Improve workflows and explore AI-assisted tools and automation using Codex.

What We’re Looking For

• 2-5 of experience in VFX production, post-production, or a similar creative environment.
• Hands‑on experience with Frame.io and ftrack or similar
• Familiarity with Codex, Claude or similar AI-assisted workflow tools.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with compositing, CG, animation, editorial, and post-production pipelines.
• Experience with Google Workspace, including Sheets, Docs, Drive, and Calendar.
• Knowledge of budgeting, cost tracking, resource forecasting, and client reporting.
• Experience with scripting, workflow automation, or integrating production tools.
• An interest in emerging AI tools and their practical application in creative production.
