Job summary

Mosaic Veterinary Partners LTD. is seeking a Veterinary Technician Assistant to join Peace River Veterinary Services in Peace River, Alberta. This is a full-time, in-clinic position with a dedicated team in a busy mixed-animal practice.

You will assist veterinarians and techs with treatments, manage client communications, scheduling, invoicing, and perform instrument cleaning and inventory tasks while contributing to compassionate animal care.

Qualifications

• Physical ability to lift 35+ pounds.
• Proficient computer skills for records and invoicing.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Preference given to candidates with prior veterinary industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians and technicians with daily treatments and patient care.
• Support scheduling and invoicing tasks for the clinic.
• Maintain clean instruments and manage inventory as needed.
• Provide client communication and care information.
• Handle animal handling and husbandry tasks and assist in procedures.

Our amazing team at Mosaic is looking for a Veterinary Technician Assistant to join our Peace River Veterinary Services team in Peace River, Alberta, on a full-time, basis.

The Ideal Candidate

As our ideal candidate you have a passion for:

• Working in a mixed animal practice. Our team members have a love of working with multiple species of animals;
• Ensuring high quality customer service to our clients, and supporting the operations as required in areas of scheduling and managing their invoicing and computer records;
• Supporting others, such as the clinic manager, veterinarians and veterinary technologists with daily treatments and care of patients;
• Cleaning and maintaining instruments and equipment and complete inventory tasks as needed;
• Animal handling and husbandry;
• Setting up for medical procedures and surgeries.

Minimum Qualifications

• The ability to lift 35+ pounds without assistance;
• Completion of a high-school diploma
• Demonstrated and accurate computer skills
• Preference given to those with previous industry experience
