Job description
Office Manager – Richmond Veterinary Clinic, Napanee, ON

Ready to run the show at a friendly, independently-owned vet clinic where we actually like each other? Richmond Veterinary Clinic in Napanee is looking for a Manager to keep our team organized, our patients pampered, and our spreadsheets from descending into chaos.

Who We Are

We’re a small but mighty crew with a soft spot for pets, a solid sense of humour, and a deep appreciation for teamwork (and snacks). We’re all about providing top-notch care for animals and the people who love them — without taking ourselves too seriously.

Located just off the 401, a day trip away from Montreal, Toronto or Ottawa; you can cheer for your favorite baseball or hockey team, explore amazing outdoor recreational spaces and cultural activities.

What You’ll Do

You’ll be the traffic controller of the clinic — keeping appointments running smoothly, helping the team work together, and making sure our clients feel cared for from the moment they walk through the door. Your job is a mix of leadership, problem‑solving, and making sure we’ve got enough coffee (and inventory).

  • Lead our amazing team with positivity, accountability, and the occasional dad joke.
  • Keep schedules, budgets, and inventory in check — so we don’t accidentally order enough bandage tape to mummify a Great Dane.
  • Create a great experience for our clients and their pets, from friendly greetings to handling concerns with empathy (and maybe a treat or two).
  • Track performance, manage finances, and help us thrive without losing our soul.
  • Jump in at the front desk when needed — answering phones, booking appointments, and keeping the day on track like the clinic MVP you are.
  • Make sure we’re following all the important rules (CVO, health & safety, etc.), without turning into a clipboard-wielding tyrant.
  • Mentor and support our team — because happy humans = better care for pets.
What We’re Looking For
  • Experience leading a Veterinary team. RVT or Practice Management background preferred.
  • A love for organization, spreadsheets, and getting stuff done.
  • Strong communication skills — you can rally the troops, handle tricky conversations, and keep things clear.
  • A knack for balancing fun and professionalism.
  • Business smarts — you understand budgets, scheduling, and keeping an eye on the bottom line without losing sight of patient care.
  • A sense of humour (mandatory — we checked).
Perks & Benefits
  • Competitive wage — you’re worth it.
  • Health & dental benefits (because we care about you, too).
  • Continuing education — learn cool new stuff, on us.
  • Professional memberships – we want you to hang with the best and brightest stars in our industry.
  • Pet discounts — your furry friends will thank you.
  • Paid vacation, sick days, and personal days — because work‑life balance matters.
  • And of course, a supportive team who’s got your back.
Let’s Talk!

If you’re ready to bring your skills (and sense of humour) to our crew, we’d love to chat.
