Job summary

Blue Sky Animal Hospital in North Bay is seeking a friendly Vet Assistant to counsel clients under supervision and assist with routine animal care. You’ll educate families on medications, vaccines, and home care while supporting surgical and lab procedures in a collaborative setting.

The role offers a flexible schedule with opportunity for part-time or full-time hours, and a competitive pay range of CAD 18.25–20.00 per hour, with a comprehensive benefits package and ongoing learning resources.

Qualifications

About the Role

Our ideal Vet Assistant will counsel and educate clients, under the direction of a Veterinarian or a RVT, on various aspects of animal care such as dosage/purpose of medications, home care, vaccination requirements, and preventative healthcare recommendations. In collaboration with the team, they will suggest and explain laboratory procedures and testing. They will also greet, handle, and treat animals in a way that contributes to an environment in which animals feel safe and secure.
