Job summary

MRG Exams is seeking a qualified Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) physician to perform independent medical assessments for U.S. Veterans, reviewing records, conducting non-treating evaluations, and completing VA DBQs via a secure portal.

The ideal candidate holds an active PM&R license, board certification is preferred, and strong data synthesis and typing skills are essential. This part-time role involves documenting findings with high accuracy and timely submission.

Qualifications

• Active MD or DO license with PM&R specialization.
• Board certification in Neurological Surgery, PM&R, or Psychiatry and Neurology preferred.
• Candidates with a completed two-year residency in a relevant specialty will also be considered.
• Strong typing skills and attention to detail are essential.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze veterans' medical records through a secure web portal.
• Conduct comprehensive, non-treating assessments of veterans to document current health conditions.
• Complete and submit DBQs based on VA-specific templates to capture all relevant medical findings.
• Ensure that all DBQs are thorough, accurate, and submitted within 24 hours of the assessment.
• Assess up to four veterans daily.
