Job summary

A leading veterinary practice in Ottawa is seeking veterinary students for externship opportunities. Students will work closely with veterinarians to gain clinical experience in a supportive environment. This externship provides a unique opportunity to learn about day-to-day operations and develop essential skills. The hands-on experience lasts from two to eight weeks and supports the academic growth of students.

Qualifications

• Eligible students should be in the clinical portion of their education.
• Experience working closely with supervising veterinarians.
• Ability to gather patient histories and perform physical exams.

Responsibilities

• Gain experience in treatment planning and diagnostics.
• Practice communication skills with the medical team and clients.
• Observe and assist or perform surgical procedures.
