Job description

Clean Harbors Fort McMurray, AB is looking for Class 3 Driver/Operators to join their safety conscious team at Suncor Fort Hills. You will be responsible for operating and driving various assigned units such as combo units, water trucks, pressure trucks, and for performing a variety of jobs as dictated by the client.

This is a Union Local 362 Teamsters position. It is a 14/14 rotation, full rates starting at $41.44/hour.

Base pay range

CA$41.00/hr - CA$41.00/hr

Responsibilities
  • Ensuring that health and safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times.
  • Drive, operate, and stage units.
  • Perform pre and post trip inspections.
  • Assist with job site preparation and staging equipment.
  • Maintain and update driver’s logbook.
  • Communicate with dispatchers and supervisors throughout the day.
  • Perform roadside repairs as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Class 1 or 3 driver’s license required with 18‑speed manual transmission experience.
  • Experience with Hydrovac, combo, and vac truck units is an asset.
  • Experience with heavy equipment such as rock trucks is an asset.
  • Minimum of one (1) year previous oilsands or industrial experience.
  • Must hold valid First Aid, H2S Alive, and CSO certificates (proof required prior to first day and site arrival). Training can be arranged.
  • Ability to work a 14/14 rotation, day and night shift.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision in a team‑and‑safety focused environment.
  • Experience in a labor‑intensive position and working outside in all types of weather conditions.
