Job summary

Velocity– Mergers & Acquisitions Internship/Co-op – Winter 2027 at Scotiabank in Toronto, ON. The term runs January 2027 to April 2027 with 37.5 hours per week and a September 25, 2026 application deadline.

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

Acquisitions and Divestitures

• Analyze financial metrics for targets and comparable companies.
• Conduct in-depth research on the targets/industry related to valuation, shareholder analysis, profitability trends, etc.
• Assistin preparing presentations for Executive discussion/approval.
• Participate in due diligence of potential acquisition targets, which includes analyzing the impact of such transactions on the Bank’s operations, earnings, ROE, and capital.
• Participate in the sale processes, including populating and managing thedataroom.

Corporate Restructuring

• Provide supportoncorporate restructuring initiatives.
• Assistwith executing plans tooptimizethe Bank’s capital allocation strategy, improve the Bank and its subsidiaries’operatingfinancial, and tax efficiency.
• Complete otherprojects,as assigned. The group typically takes ad hoc projects concerning a broad range of the Bank’s products and operations.
