Job summary

DATAmundi is hiring a Validation Engineer to join our Managed Services team in a fast-paced environment. The role focuses on developing, validating, and optimizing SSD product lines with firmware and NVMe feature validation on complex embedded architectures.

You will work in a hybrid setup (3 days on-site, 2 days remote) with a multinational client. A strong foundation in C/C++, Python, and problem solving is essential, along with good English communication and collaboration with firmware teams.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of programming experience in C/C++ and Python.
• Experience with Git or similar source control systems.
• Understanding of ASIC architecture and code optimization is a plus.
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills and a mindset of continuous improvement.
• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development, validation, and optimization of SSD product lines.
• Detect test failures, triage, create defect reports and ensure timely and accurate resolution.
• Participate in peer code reviews and defect management.
• Contribute to bug fixing and validation of SSD firmware and NVMe features on embedded multi-core architectures.
• Collaborate with Firmware Engineers to optimize NVMe features of high-performance firmware and software for next-generation SSD products.
• Provide clear status to domain leads on development and test status.
• Report sightings and pre-sightings for suspected FW issues.
• Use diagnostics/debugging tools to analyze reported design bugs.
• Join monthly and quarterly meetings with client representatives as the technical representative.

As Validation Engineer you'll be a part of our Managed Services department, working in an engaging, fast-paced environment with our client, a multinational enterprise company, to ensure that next-generation Non-Volatile Nand memory products meet the design requirements.

This is a hybrid position; 3 days on-site, 2 days remote. The client is located on Marine Drive, South Vancouver, British Columbia. Please only apply if you are located in the Vancouver and lower mainland areas, or if you are willing to relocate.

Role Responsibilities:

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science Degree or related concentration, equivalent and/or combination of education and work experience
