Job summary

Gateway Casinos & Entertainment Limited is seeking a part-time valet attendant in Canada to provide exceptional customer service while parking, retrieving, and delivering vehicles of all makes and models. You will greet guests, explain services, and promote events with a professional, safety-conscious approach.

The role requires a valid Ontario G driver’s license (manual transmission preferred), the ability to work outdoors in all weather, and the capacity to lift luggage as needed.

Qualifications

• Must provide hospitable customer service to patrons and coworkers.
• Must communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure.
• Must hold a valid Ontario G license and drive manual transmission.
• Must provide a clean criminal history and driving abstract annually.

Responsibilities

• Represent as the first contact with guests; greet patrons and answer questions about events and services.
• Offer valet services, explain terms, distribute valet tickets, assist with loading items.
• Record Make, Model, Colour, license plate and location on the Valet Parking Tag.
• Safely drive, park and retrieve vehicles of all makes/models; operate various parking spaces.
• Deliver vehicles to patrons promptly and invite return visits.
• Report incidents and assist Security with information as needed.
• Maintain clean, safe work areas and comply with policies and SOPs.

The Position

Provide exceptional customer service to patrons while safely parking, retrieving and driving all makes and models of vehicles.

Key Responsibilities

• Represent as the first point of contact with guests; greet and acknowledge patrons using exceptional customer service and guest names; promote and respond to questions regarding events and services.
• Maintain a high level of professionalism, positive demeanor and service etiquette at all times.
• Offer valet services to arriving vehicles, explain terms of use and service to patrons, distribute valet claim ticket, assist with unloading/loading items including wheelchairs and walkers in a safe manner.
• Accurately and neatly record Make, Model, Colour, license plate and vehicle location on Valet Parking Tag.
• Consistently and safely drive, park and retrieve all makes and models of vehicles, trucks and vans with Automatic and Manual transmissions; park in all.
• Park and retrieve vehicles within all styles of spaces including herringbone angled parking stalls, charging station areas, staging rows.
• Operate within vehicles with respect to minimal adjustments of contents and items in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures.
• Deliver vehicles to departing patrons as soon as they are requested; provide a hospitable message and invitation to return.
• Support the Communications Attendant position responsibilities when required; work with the CVPS Parking system operation.
• Report incidents or damage to Management immediately; assist Security with information relating to accidents or damages.
• Ensures all work areas are clean, orderly and free of Health and Safety hazards taking care to not create a workplace hazard.
• Comply with all Casino Rama Policies and procedures and Valet Standard Operating Procedures
• Keep work areas clean and free of safety hazards, debris and litter.
• Perform all job duties in a safe and responsible manner.
• Adhere to departmental quality standards.
• Perform other related and compatible duties as assigned.

What You Bring

• Must have the skills to provide exceptional hospitable customer service to patrons and coworkers
• Must have the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
• Must have the ability to work well in a fast paced business environment and well under pressure
• Must have the ability to meet the Physical Requirements of the position
• Must hold a valid Ontario Class G driver’s license and be able to drive a manual transmission
• Must provide a clean criminal history certificate and a clean driver’s abstract on an annual basis
• Must have twelve (12) years driving experience
• Ability to frequently lift luggage in and out of vehicle (5-50 lbs.)
• Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
