A premier utility contractor is seeking a Utility Person to join their team in Central Ontario. This hands-on role involves supporting the construction of overhead and underground electrical systems. Responsibilities include operating heavy equipment, verifying utility locates, and ensuring safety protocols. A valid Driver's License and training in Ground Disturbance and traffic control are required. The successful candidate will join a unionized worksite, contributing to a strong culture of safety and quality workmanship.
We are currently seeking a Utility Person to join our growing team to support a multi‑year Distribution project in Central Ontario. Reporting to the Construction Foreman, the Utility Person is responsible for providing support in the construction of overhead and underground electrical power systems and related infrastructure. This is a hands‑on role where your strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to safety will directly support our field operations and contribute to the overall success of the team. Please Note: These positions are based in Central Ontario, and candidates must reside locally or within a reasonable commuting distance.
This project will be a unionized worksite. Candidates must be willing to join Canadian Union of Skilled Workers (CUSW).
This position will be part of the CUSW union and benefits are provided by the union.
