WeareworkingwithamemberofMetroVancouver,seekingaqualifiedUtilitiesForemantojointheirInfrastructureDepartment.WorkingwiththeManagerofUtilities,thispersonwillberesponsibleforoverseeingtheoperationsandmaintenanceprogramsofthisteam.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting the Supervisor to coordinate, oversee and assist in managing the daily operations, maintenance, and repair of:
  • Water Distribution Systems, valves, services, meters, hydrants, and water quality.
  • Wastewater collection, Storm drainage system, repair of sewage pipes, mains, pumps, valves, air releases, drains, basins, manholes, and associated buildings.
  • Providing professional expertise, guidance, training, and leadership to staff and contractors.
  • Responding to public inquiries, recordkeeping, reviews, and updates using software based management systems.
  • Perform potential on-call response duties on a rotational basis.
  • Preparation of condition reports, costing and budgets, repairs and upgrades, and future planning.

Qualifications

  • EOCP Class 2 Water Distribution and Class 3 Wastewater Collection or the ability to obtain both within a 3 year period.
  • Minimum 5 years of working experience within the related position or field.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, GIS, SCADA, and other CMMS.
