SSP Canada operates several restaurants at Toronto Pearson International Airport. This Utility role keeps our units clean and sanitized for guests and staff, contributing to a safe dining environment.

Expect a $19.94 per hour rate, full-time schedule, and weekend shifts with a comprehensive benefits plan and meal program. You will clean, stock, and maintain kitchen and service areas, while ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Formación

• 6 months+ experience in retail or food service.
• High school diploma preferred.
• Clear verbal and written communication in English.
• Ability to read, speak and understand English to communicate with guests.
• Experience handling guest service issues.
• Food handlers permit as required by law.
• Brand certification as required.
• Ability to stand and work in confined spaces.
• Ability to obtain Transport Canada security clearance.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand long periods.
• Capable of working in varying temperatures including cold storage.

Responsabilidades

• Create a positive guest experience by cleaning and maintaining hygienic work areas.
• Maintain cleanliness of all surfaces and equipment (floors, walls, ceilings, etc.).
• Clear and reset tables and transport service-ware to kitchen for cleaning.
• Wash dishes by hand or load dishwasher and store properly.
• Clean equipment using chemicals to meet sanitary standards; may include heavy equipment.
• Load/unload deliveries between storage and work areas.
• Stock, date, rotate, and check the temperature of food items.

Our Utility positions at SSP Canada have the very important role of keeping our restaurants and units clean and sanitized for both our guests and our team. Here are a few things you can expect as a Utility at SSP Canada:

- Create a positive guest experience by cleaning and maintaining hygienic work areas

- Maintain the cleanliness of all surfaces and equipment (i.e., floors, ceiling tiles, walls, windows, worktables, hoods, vents, grills, refrigerators, service counters, storage areas, etc.)

- Clear and reset tables in dining areas between seatings, as needed and transports service-ware to the kitchen for cleaning

- Scrape food from dirty dishes, pots, and pans and wash them by hand or load dishwasher and return them to their proper storage place.

- Clean equipment using specific chemicals to meet sanitary standards; may include the use of heavy equipment

- Load/unload supply deliveries transferring between storage and work areas

- Stock, date, rotate, and check the temperature of food items

Skills and Other Requirements

- Minimum 6 months' experience working in retail or food service environment

- High school diploma preferred

- Verbal and written communication

- Must be able to read, speak, and understand the English language in order to communicate with guests and receive instructions

- Experience in dealing with problems involving guest service

- Food handlers permit, as required by law

- Brand certification, as required

- Ability to stand and work in confined spaces

- Ability to obtain Transport Canada Security Clearance

- Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs) and stand for long periods.

- Capable of performing tasks in varying temperatures, including cold storage areas.
