Job Summary:

As a Utility Aide, you’ll play an essential behind-the-scenes role in keeping our center clean, safe, and welcoming participants, visitors, and staff. You’ll ensure all areas are properly sanitized, stocked, and maintained, supporting the daily comfort and well‑being of everyone we serve.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys steady, predictable routines and takes satisfaction in doing quality work that others can depend on. You’ll work as part of a supportive, team‑oriented environment where consistency, care, and attention to detail make a real difference each day.

Hourly Wage:

$14.75/hr. to start – $15.75 /hr. after 90 days

Schedule:

First shift, full‑time hours. Specific work hours will be established in consultation with your supervisor.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Clean and sanitize all assigned areas of the Center in accordance with company infection control policies and procedures.
  • Handle and mix cleaning chemicals safely and properly, ensuring correct labeling, storage, and rotation.
  • Maintain adequate supplies of cleaning products and hygiene materials throughout the facility.
  • Collect and dispose of trash and recyclables, lifting up to 30 pounds as needed.
  • Prioritize daily cleaning tasks and complete them in a consistent, timely manner.
  • Act as a contact point for delivery drivers and service contractors, ensuring supplies reach the correct departments.
  • Interact courteously and professionally with participants, visitors, and staff at all times.
  • Report maintenance issues, safety concerns, or supply needs to the Center Manager promptly.
  • Establish and use mobile company email for communication and scheduling.
  • Participate in ongoing Quality Improvement and training programs as directed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Center Manager or designee.

Requirements:

Successful completion of background check, physical, drug screening, TB Screening

Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to stand, walk, lift, bend, and move throughout the workday.
  • Must be able to lift, push, pull, and move a minimum of 30 pounds.
  • Requires full range of motion, manual dexterity, and ability to use cleaning equipment safely.
  • Must be able to work under moderate pressure while maintaining a calm and courteous demeanor.
  • Must be constantly alert to ensure a safe, clean environment for participants and staff.
  • Must be able to assist with participant evacuations when necessary.
