Job summary

The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA), in partnership with the University of Saskatchewan College of Medicine, Department of Surgery, seeks a team-oriented Urologist to join the Division of Urology in Regina, Saskatchewan.

You will work with an established group providing comprehensive urologic care, including outpatient consultations, surgical care, inpatient management, and on-call coverage at Regina General Hospital and Pasqua Hospital.

Qualifications

  • Board-certified urologist (or eligible) with licensure in Saskatchewan.
  • Fellowship in Urology preferred; Oncology/Robotics fellowship is an asset.
  • Experience in outpatient, inpatient, and on-call urologic care.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive urologic assessment, diagnosis, and management for adult patients.
  • Perform a full range of urologic surgical procedures.
  • Provide inpatient and outpatient consultations and follow-up care.
  • Participate in shared on-call coverage within the Division of Urology.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary health care teams to ensure high-quality patient care.

Job description

The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA), in partnership with the Universityof Saskatchewan College of Medicine, Department of Surgery, is seeking a team-oriented and collegialUrologist to join the Division of Urology in Regina, Saskatchewan. This is anexcellent opportunity to become part of a dynamic and collaborative surgicalteam providing comprehensive urologic care to patients throughout southernSaskatchewan.

The successful candidate will join an established group of specialistsproviding a full range of urologic services, including outpatientconsultations, surgical care, inpatient management, and on-call coverage.Clinical services are primarily based at Regina General Hospital and PasquaHospital, which together provide a wide range of tertiary and community-basedsurgical services. Fellowship training in Oncology and Robotics would be anasset.

Clinical Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive urologic assessment, diagnosis, and management foradult patients.
  • Perform a full range of urologic surgical procedures.
  • Provide inpatient and outpatient consultations and follow-up care.
  • Participate in shared on-call coverage within the Division of Urology.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary health care teams to ensure high-qualitypatient care.
Relocation Package

Qualified candidates may be eligible for a recruitment incentive of up to$200,000. This incentive is typically paid over a five-year period and issubject to a return-for-service agreement within the Regina area. Theincentive is designed to support the recruitment and retention of surgicalspecialists providing essential services to Regina and the southernSaskatchewan population.

Additional relocation and practice-establishment supports may be availablefor eligible candidates. Further details regarding available physicianincentives can be found at:

  • Eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons ofSaskatchewan (CPSS).
  • Fellowship in Urology with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons ofCanada, or equivalent.
  • Eligible for appointment with the University of Saskatchewan College ofMedicine.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinaryhealth care team.
