Job summary

VTRAC Consulting Corporation in Canada is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design and implement a new hybrid system, bridging on-premises operations with AWS private cloud. The role is primarily on-site and involves hands-on collaboration with industrial systems and end users.

Responsibilities include building scalable APIs, multi-threaded and asynchronous apps, and participating in Agile SCRUM lifecycles. Experience with MAUI/Xamarin, Kubernetes, and industrial protocols is valued.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience with at least two of the listed technologies.
• Solid understanding of OAuth2, PostgreSQL, Redis, and Kafka/RabbitMQ.
• Experience in .NET MAUI/Xamarin and Linux environments.
• Socket programming experience with Socket.io.
• Strong problem-solving and cross-functional communication.
• Familiarity with DevOps tools and Kubernetes is a plus.

This is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated and technically skilled Senior Software Engineer to join the digital transformation development team. In this high-impact role, you will contribute to the design and implementation of a brand-new hybrid system that integrates mission-critical on-premises operations with AWS private cloud infrastructure. This role is primarily on-site, with active collaboration on the production floor, offering a unique opportunity to work hands-on with industrial systems and directly with end users.

Responsibilities:

• Design scalable software systems and APIs using .NET 6+ and Angular in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Develop, test, and maintain multi-threaded, concurrent, socket programming, and asynchronous applications.

• Strong problem-solving, time management, and communication skills in technical and cross-functional settings.
• Experience with DevOps tools, Kubernetes, or industrial protocols (OPC, Modbus) is a strong asset.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills and problem-solving skills.
• Post-secondary education in computer science or a related discipline.
