Job summary

Amenida Senior Community in Aurora, ON, is seeking an Unregulated Care Provider (UCP) to support residents with daily living activities, promote dignity and independence, and join a warm, compassionate care team.

The role involves assisting with bathing, dressing, mobility, medication duties for certified UCPs, reporting changes, and collaborating with nursing staff in a safe, respectful environment.

Qualifications

• Completion of a recognized Personal Support Worker (PSW) program or equivalent.
• Medication administration certification is an asset and may be required for delegated duties.
• Successful criminal background check, including Vulnerable Sector Screening.
• Up-to-date immunizations as required.

Responsibilities

• As a UCP, assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, mobility, and toileting.
• Provide emotional support and encourage participation in activities.
• Observe and report changes in health, behaviour, or needs.
• Administer medications as delegated (for certified UCPs) and support nursing staff.
• Complete required documentation and resident care records.
• Follow infection control and safety procedures; maintain a clean, welcoming environment.

Compensation: $19.80/hr
Job Type: Part-time | Onsite

Your Day to Day:

As a Unregulated Care Provider (UCP), you will provide compassionate care and support to residents while promoting their dignity, comfort, and independence.

Resident Care & Support:

• Assist residents with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, mobility, and toileting.
• Provide emotional support and encourage participation in activities and community life.
• Observe and report changes in residents’ health, behaviour, or needs.

Medication & Team Support:

• Administer medications as delegated (for certified UCPs).
• Support the nursing team and collaborate with healthcare professionals.
• Complete required documentation and resident care records.

Safety & Quality Care:

• Follow infection control, safety procedures, and organizational policies.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for residents.

What You Bring to the Table:
