Job description

Adecco is currently hiring several full-time skilled Unlicensed Automotive Service Technicians to enhance our clients team and ensure efficient and top‑notch service delivery in Richmond, BC. In this role you will be responsible for assisting within the Mechanical Department to complete diagnosis, repairs, inspections, and maintenance of vehicles as assigned while maintaining consistently high standards for technical efficiency and observing all safety requirements.

Pay Rate: between $24 - $31 / hour

Location: Richmond, BC

Shift: 7:30am-4:00pm

Responsibilities
  • Complete pre and post sale inspections, including test drives
  • Complete general shop maintenance, pulling up vehicles into the shop, and test driving vehicles for diagnosis of repairs required
  • Deliver general maintenance services by conducting oil and fluid changes, tire changes, and general vehicle inspections
  • Provide frame inspection services by inspecting vehicle undercarriages to ensure no cracks, bends or other damage exists
  • Assist with provision of general repair services, including brake jobs, exhaust system jobs, front end alignments, ball joints, air conditioning, maintenance of auction vehicles, and external referrals for transmission work
  • Assist other technicians with complex/large jobs to expand knowledge and experience
  • May assist with sourcing parts and providing quotes to customer
  • May assist with completing work orders, including parts and labor entries
Qualifications
  • Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada
  • Education or Certification as an Automotive Service Technician
  • 1‑3 years’ experience in repair and service of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems and components on a variety of vehicles
  • Position suitable for 2nd or 3rd year apprentice
  • Valid driver’s abstract
  • Basic computer skills and ability to utilize a smartphone
