Job summary

Prep Academy Tutors of Greater Victoria is seeking knowledgeable University Tutors to join our team in Victoria, BC. We provide personalized, one-on-one tutoring in libraries and online, supporting university and college students as they work toward academic success.

You will help students deepen their understanding of course material, prepare for exams, strengthen study strategies, and improve academic performance through personalized instruction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required.
• Master's degree, PhD or advanced credentials are assets.
• Evidence of university-level subject expertise and tutoring experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to adapt teaching styles.

Responsibilities

• Deliver one-on-one tutoring tailored to each course and learning goal.
• Help students understand concepts and improve problem-solving skills.
• Support exam preparation, assignments, and academic writing.
• Develop individualized learning strategies for long-term success.
• Maintain regular communication with students and families when appropriate.
