Hiring salary range: $2,064.34 - $3,189.88 / bi-weekly

Responsibilities
  • Be a member of the NERC CIP Compliance Sustainment team, providing expertise on NERC-CIP standards compliance for multiple Lines of Business (LOB).
  • Assist in translating NERC CIP standard requirements into business actions for IT (Information Technology) and OT (Operation Technology) systems.
  • Organize compliance evidence and repositories to ensure readiness for audits and internal compliance reviews.
  • Work with cyber security technologies to ensure they support regulatory obligations and NERC CIP standards.
  • Advise the Compliance Sustainment team and stakeholders on creating non-compliance reports and remediation actions, and follow up to ensure remediation items are completed by deadlines.
  • Review and update Business Process Documents mapping Hydro One's internal CIP compliance processes.
  • Develop presentations and training to help internal stakeholders and staff understand CIP compliance processes.
  • Participate in the development and maintenance of IT, OT and Physical Security Policies and procedures.
Professional Development
  • Apply academic knowledge in securing critical infrastructure such as the bulk electric system.
  • Gain experience in executing cyber and physical security program activities.
  • Interact with Lines of Business to understand how their work impacts grid reliability.
  • Gain experience in document organization, evidence retention, and security requirements for electrical utilities.
Selection Criteria
  • Discipline: Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Cyber Security
  • Academic Level: Undergraduate in 3rd year or higher
  • Essential knowledge: Computer skills (Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint); strong organizational and communication skills
  • Desirable knowledge and experience: Prior work experience in the utility industry; understanding of Information Security principles; knowledge of NERC CIP Standards or NIST Cybersecurity Framework; understanding of regulatory standards and auditing processes
