Job summary

The role contributes to the broader mission and values of The Salvation Army, upholding standards of service that reflect its spiritual and social commitment to the community.ACCOUNTABILITIES: Incumbents may perform all, some, or similar range of duties as below.• Provide courteous and efficient customer and donor service, addressing inquiries in person and by phone, and promoting sales through product knowledge and upselling techniques. • Maintain merchandise flow by replenishing stock, assisting with inventory control, and preparing unsold items for recycling when appropriate. • Support store presentation through visual merchandising, display setup, and regular upkeep of a clean and organized sales floor. • Follow established opening, closing, and security procedures, contributing to the safe and efficient operation of the store. • Accurately process sales transactions using cash, debit, and credit, while adhering to policies on refunds, voids, and item holds. • Receive and sort donations, ensuring proper handling, pricing, and storage in line with quality and safety standards as directed. • Represent the organization in a respectful and professional manner, reflecting the mission and values of The Salvation Army. • Other related duties as assigned.CRITICAL RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT: Internal: Ministry Unit leadership, staff, and volunteers.
