Job summary

Intact Financial Corporation is seeking an Underwriter, Specialty Solutions, to deepen expertise in the insurance industry across global specialty lines. You will analyze quotes, renewals and policy changes, collaborate with brokers and internal teams, and contribute to growth in the Specialty Solutions division.

Qualifications

• University degree/College diploma or any combination of equivalent education and experience.
• Minimum 1 years of relevant experience in Insurance.
• Strong knowledge in Excel is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Analyze requests for quotes, renewals and policy changes, and recommend solutions
• Support brokers regarding underwriting and rating policies
• Use negotiating skills to maintain healthy relationships within and outside the company
• Participate in broker visits, industry functions and marketing events
• Provide ongoing support in expanding the department, and make recommendations for process improvements
• Rate and prepare quotes for new business and renewals
• Handle policy transactions including renewals, endorsements and cancellations.
• As directed, generate letters and memos to brokers from the system.
• Support team members within Specialty Solutions as well as other divisions at Intact

• Salary range (but not limited to): 74,800 - 91,400
• Annual bonus target, based on the base salary, with a potential payout of up to double the target (subject to personal and company performance): 7.5%

What you bring to the table

No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
