Job description

We are seeking an Engineering Professional to provide General Underground Maintenance Engineering support through a short-term secondment. The successful candidate will work under the direction of the site’s Maintenance Engineering Superintendent and respond to maintenance and operational demands from site leadership.

This role offers the opportunity to support critical underground maintenance activities, ensure continuity of project work, and contribute to a smooth transition through an overlap period.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide engineering assistance for general underground maintenance activities.
  • Support the Maintenance Engineering Superintendent with daily maintenance and operational requirements.
  • Respond to direction from site leadership regarding maintenance priorities and project needs.
  • Assist in planning, coordinating, and monitoring underground maintenance work.
  • Contribute to documentation, reporting, and knowledge sharing during the overlap period.
  • Ensure adherence to site safety standards, procedures, and engineering best practices.
Qualifications:
  • Experience in underground maintenance engineering, mining, or heavy industrial maintenance.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and maintenance documentation.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills.
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week, with flexibility for overtime based on project demands.
  • Ability to integrate quickly into an existing team and support short-term project objectives.
