About the Organization

Lake Shore Gold, a subsidiary of Pan American Silver, is located in Timmins, Ontario. The Bell Creek Complex located approximately 20 kilometers northeast of Timmins, Ontario, consists of an underground mine and processing facility. Mineralization is associated with the Porcupine-Destor fault system within the Abitibi greenstone belt, with ore mined by narrow vein longhole stoping methods. Ore is then transported to surface via a modern one thousand eighty metre deep shaft capable of forty-eight hundred tonnes per day.

About the Opportunity

We are looking to hire an Underground Grader to join ourTimmins West Minein Timmins, ON. on afull-time basis. The schedule for this position is dayshift only 5-5-4, 10 hours per shift.

Please note that this role requires relocation to the Timmins area and is not a camp-based position.

In this position, you will be responsible for the day-to-day grading of ramps and mine levels; ensuring roadbed material is placed as needed. Occasionally you will be required to haul and spread your own material as well as assist with the movement of waste. Remove built-up material and spillage from haul trucks. You will conduct daily manual and visual pre-op checks on the equipment. You will assist with washing and spraying down muck piles to assist in reducing dust as well as any other duties as assigned.

  • Previous grader operator experience is required
  • Previous Scoop experience is required
  • Previous Haul truck experience is required
  • Practice good housekeeping
  • Be committed to safety
  • Basic UG Hard Rock Common Core is required
  • Applicants must be eligible to work in Canada
