Job summary

Brock University seeks an experienced instructor for the CUPE4207-1 Employee Group. Responsibilities include lectures, student consultations, grading, and course administration across undergraduate statistics courses, aligned with the Collective Agreement.

Qualifications require a PhD in Statistics (or MSc in Mathematics/Statistics if no PhD) along with prior teaching/research experience and strong course evaluations. All applicants are welcome to apply and campus work is expected.

Qualifications

• PhD in Statistics or a related discipline.
• Prior teaching and/or research experience in Statistics.
• Evidence of competent and effective teaching at the undergraduate university level (letters of reference and course/performance evaluations).

Responsibilities

• Duties and responsibilities will be in accordance with Article 22.01 of the Collective Agreement.
• Scheduled contact time with students and non-classroom time (preparation of lectures, student consultation, marking and grading and course administration, including grade appeals and cases of academic dishonesty).
