Job summary

The Interlake-Eastern Regional Health Authority is hiring a Health Care Aide – Uncertified at Beausejour PCH East Gate Lodge. You will assist with resident personal needs under supervision and contribute to a culture of compassionate, high-quality care within a supportive team.

Be prepared to work days and evenings in a part-time capacity, under the applicable collective agreement, with immunization requirements and a focus on respectful, confidential, culturally safe care in a busy aging

Qualifications

• Grade 12 education completed
• Successful completion of IERHA Uncertified HCA Learning Module and Practicum
• Demonstrates understanding of the Health Care Aide role within a healthcare setting
• Previous related healthcare experience preferred
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and written communication
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Ability to respect and promote confidentiality and diversity

Responsibilities

• Assist with meeting residents' personal needs per policies
• Work under direction of RN/LPN and clinical team manager
• Function in a dynamic environment using standardized assessment/planning/implementation/evaluation processes

Position Summary:

The Health Care Aide – Uncertified is a member of the healthcare team, working under the direction of the Registered Nurse and /or LicensedPractical Nurse and the Clinical Team Manager. The Health Care Aide – Uncertified isresponsible for performing and assisting with duties related to meetingresident personal needs in accordance with the established policies andprocedures. The Health Care Aide -Uncertified must be able to function effectively in a dynamic and demandingenvironment utilizing standardized processes of assessment, planning,implementation and evaluation. The position of Health Care Aide- Uncertified functions in amanner consistent with, and supports the mission, vision and values of theInterlake – Eastern Regional Health Authority.

Qualifications:

• Grade 12 education
• Successfulcompletion of IERHA Uncertified HCA Learning Module and Practicum
• Demonstratesunderstanding of the role of the Health Care Aide within a health care setting.
• Previous relatedexperience in the health care system preferred.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and written communication.
