Job summary

North Wellington Health Care seeks an Ultrasound Technologist (Sonographer) for a cross-site, temporary part-time position. The homesite is Louise Marshall Hospital, with duties across Palmerston & District Hospital.

Unionized with OPSEU, you will perform small parts, general, abdominal and obstetrical exams, with evidence of CMRT0 registration and liability insurance. Must have Canadian accredited training, and NT certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Canadian Accredited Ultrasound Training Program.
• Current Membership with the CMRTO and proof of professional liability insurance.
• Small parts, general, abdominal, obstetrical experience.
• NT (Nuchal Translucency) certification is preferred.
• Vascular exams (carotids) and MSK shoulders/knees experience preferred or working towards.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage conflicting demands.
• Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with many internal and external individuals and groups.
• Other duties as required.
• Satisfactory performance and attendance required.
• Satisfactory Reference Checks prior to start date.
• Police Vulnerable Sector Check required.
• Pre-Employment Health Assessment required.

ULTRASOUND TECHNOLOGIST (SONOGRAPHER)

(CROSS-SITE - TEMPORARY PART TIME)

One (1) temporary part time cross-site Ultrasound Technologist (Sonographer) position is available in the Diagnostic Imaging Department at North Wellington Health Care (Louise Marshall Hospital & Palmerston and District Hospital). The homesite for this position is Louise Marshall Hospital.

This position is unionized with OPSEU.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Graduate of a Canadian Accredited Ultrasound Training Program
• Current Membership with the CMRTO and proof of professional liability insurance
• Small parts, general, abdominal, obstetrical experience
  
• NT (Nuchal Translucency) certification is preferred
• Vascular (Carotids etc.) ABI exams and MSK Shoulders and Knees etc.) experience is preferred or working towards

HOURS OF WORK:

• As per department schedule
• Must be available for all shifts

SALARY:

$36.84 - $51.77 per hour
