Qualifications

• Registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO) required.
• Experience in general abdominal, obstetrics/gynecology, paediatric, breast, vascular and musculoskeletal preferred.
• Physical ability to perform the expected job duties.

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound procedures in accordance with departmental standards.
• Facilitate optimal patient care, observing hospital policies.
• Provide radiologists with high quality imaging and preliminary technical impression.

Skills

Sonography Canada certification in abdomen and obstetrics/gynecology

Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing

Production of high-quality ultrasound images

Organizational skills

Interpersonal skills

Education

Graduate of an accredited program in ultrasound technology
