Job summary

William Osler Health System is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to perform ultrasound procedures and contribute to patient diagnosis across multiple sites in Brampton, Ontario.

The successful candidate will be a graduate of an accredited ultrasound program, hold CMRITO registration, and have CRGS certification with preference for RVT eligibility; ARDMS may be considered. Travel between Osler sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited program in ultrasound technology.
• Registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO) required.
• Sonography Canada (CRGS) certification in abdomen and obstetrics/gynecology with preference given to those who are also RVT (CRVS) or eligibility for registration with Sonography Canada within six months of the date of hire.
• Candidates with ARDMS certification may be considered.
• Experience in general abdominal, obstetrics/gynecology, paediatric, breast, vascular and musculoskeletal preferred.
• FMF NT certification an asset

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound procedures in accordance with departmental standards to aid in patient’s diagnosis and/or treatment.
• Provide radiologists with high quality imaging, accurate and complete preliminary technical impression, discussing ultrasound findings with the Radiologist when necessary.
• Adhere to hospital mission and value statements while maintaining patient confidentiality.
• Perform other duties related to the job classification as required.

Accountabilities

Job Description

• Perform ultrasound procedures in accordance with departmental standards to aid in patient’s diagnosis and/or treatment

• Adhere to hospital mission and value statements while maintaining patient confidentiality
• Provide radiologists with high quality imaging, accurate and complete preliminary technical impression, discussing ultrasound findings with the Radiologist when necessary
• Perform other duties related to the job classification as required

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to foster an environment to facilitate effective teaching and learning relationships and provide effective consultation with the clinical educators
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team with strong interpersonal and communication skills

Additional Information

Hours: Currently Days/Evenings/Nights, including weekends and statutory holidays (subject to change in accordance with operational requirements)

Salary

Minimum: $36.84 per hour

Maximum: $51.76 per hour
