Experience

1 year to less than 2 years. On site. Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze the patient during the treatments
  • Operate ultrasound imaging equipment to produce and record images
  • Perform minor repairs and adjustments to equipment
  • Supervise students in training
  • Monitor examination to evaluate quality and consistency of diagnostic images, and make adjustments to equipment, as required
  • Train students or other medical sonographers
  • Record, store and process scanned images by using camera unit connected to the ultrasound equipment
  • Provide personal assistance to patients during treatments
  • Prepare examination reports for physicians
  • Check ultrasound equipment to ensure proper operation
  • Record and process patient data
  • Record and process results of proceduresPerform basic verification and quality control checks on radiographic and film processing equipment
  • Perform diagnostic procedures using radioactive materials on biological specimens
  • Apply radiation protection measures
  • Explain procedures and side effects of radiation
  • Provide appropriate care and monitoring of the patient during the examination
