Job summary

Slmhc in Ontario, Canada, seeks a Diagnostic Ultrasound Technologist to coordinate, perform and evaluate diagnostic services examinations across modalities.

The successful candidate will graduate from an approved Ultrasonography program, hold active registration with Sonography Canada and CMRITO, and be able to perform general and small parts studies, with echo/breast studies assets. On-call after hours may be required.

Qualifications

• Active Sonography Canada membership and CMRITO registration required.
• Graduate of an approved Ultrasonography training program.
• BLS registration current; preferred.
• Ability to perform general ultrasound and small parts studies.
• Echo and breast ultrasound studies an asset.
• Team-oriented with good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated problem-solving, critical thinking and prioritization.
• Evidence of ongoing education & professional development.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

As a member of the Multidisciplinary Health Care team, co-ordinates, performs and evaluates Diagnostic Services examination within the specific modalities and disciplines.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved training program in Ultrasonography.
• Active membership with Sonography Canada and CMRITO registration required.
• Current BLS registration preferred.
• Ability to do general ultrasound and small parts studies is required.
• OBS high risk experience an asset.
• Ability to do echo and breast ultrasound studies an asset.
• Demonstrated ability to work responsibly in a team environment.
• Demonstrated effective communication, organization and interpersonal skill.
• Effective problem-solving skills, critical thinking and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Evidence of participation in ongoing education & professional development.

Job Duties
