The Opportunity

We are looking for a UI/UX Designer who can bridge the gap between business needs, user experience, and modern design. The ideal candidate will gain a deep understanding of our existing products, industry, and user workflows, then apply that knowledge to design a new application that is intuitive, cohesive, and visually appealing.

This is a six-month contract role, based out of our Edmonton office Monday through Friday, with the potential to transition into a permanent position.

Responsibilities
  • Develop a strong understanding of current products, user journeys, and industry practices.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business use‑cases into clear, user‑centered designs.
  • Create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes that communicate design concepts effectively.
  • Define and implement a modern, cohesive design system and set of common UI elements to be used across all company applications.
  • Ensure consistency in visual design, usability, and accessibility across products.
  • Work closely with developers to ensure successful implementation of design specifications.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a UI/UX Designer or similar role.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating experience in application design and usability.
  • Proficiency with modern design tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch).
  • Ability to understand complex business requirements and simplify them into elegant user experiences.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
