WHAT IMPACT CAN A UI DESIGNER HAVE AT ESG?

As a UI/UX Designer, you’ll contribute to the design and implementation of engaging features for our games. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, designing player-centered experiences that balance usability, accessibility, and business goals. You are a designer who brings polished execution, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of user-centered design practices. Your work will directly enhance the experiences of players around the globe.

What you will be doing
  • Collaborate with Game Design, Product, and Art teams to design and implement user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and interactions for new game features.
  • Design and take ownership of new features from ideation to completion, ensuring alignment with player needs and business goals
  • Create UI assets, including icons, panels, and buttons, ensuring alignment with UX best practices and game art style.
  • Identify UX issues through usability tests and player feedback, and contribute actionable solutions to address them.
  • Advocate for usability, accessibility, and player-first design principles in your team.
  • Work with Game Design and Product to create clear design documentation.
  • Present design concepts, wireframes, and prototypes to the team, clearly communicating your vision and rationale.
  • Create icons, panels, buttons and other UI assets for implementation.
  • Export UI assets and work alongside Engineering to implement UI prefabs in Unity, maintaining and guiding others on UX Design System.
  • Work with stakeholders, taking feedback and turning it into actionable solutions.
  • Participate in usability studies, surveys, and other user research efforts to better understand player needs.
  • Play our games regularly to identify potential UX improvements and contribute ideas for enhancing player engagement.

What you bring to ESG
  • 1-3 years of professional experience in UI/UX design, or a related role, with a portfolio showcasing polished work.
  • A solid understanding of user-centered design principles, accessibility, and usability best practices.
  • Understanding of UI/UX workflows and processes.
  • Strong visual design sense, ability to create polished wireframes, mockups, and interactions that are consistent with art style guide using vector graphics.
  • Proficiency with UI/UX tools such as Adobe XD, Figma, Sketch, Illustrator, Photoshop
  • The ability to communicate design ideas effectively and collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve shared goals.
  • The ability to participate in strategic discussions with clarity, sharing thoughtful insights
  • Problem-solving skills – Demonstrates curiosity, a proactive mindset, and a commitment to putting the user first.
  • A passion for gaming, particularly mobile or free-to-play games, with an understanding of their unique player needs.
  • Portfolio showcasing previous UI/UX work on other games or similar projects. Showcases design sense, technical skill and reasonings.
  • Professional experience working in Unity or other game engine.

Compensation Range: $75K-$95K per annum. Salary is determined by experience, skills, and capabilities.
