Job summary

Oxford Learning Cambridge Hespeler is seeking part-time Teacher-Tutors to support students after school and in the evenings, tutoring English, French and Math. All lessons are pre-planned and staff are fully trained in our proprietary philosophy and methods.

Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree or be a third-year student; teaching credentials are a plus. This in-person role is at Cambridge, with a 940 Jamieson Parkway, Unit B6 address and a short commute required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or similar certification in a relevant field.
• Third-year university students will be considered.
• Teaching certification or credential is an asset.
• Good knowledge of the current Kindergarten to Grade9 curriculum.

Part-Time English, French & Math Teacher/Tutor Wanted

Gain valuable teaching experience! Oxford Learning Cambridge Hespeleris currently seeking part-time teacher-tutors for a role in our learning centre. This position is perfect for anyone who loves working with students, enjoys teaching the ins and outs of language, and is passionate about helping others build their skills in this area.

Teacher-Tutors at Oxford Learning do not need to plan lessons before class, as all lessons are pre-planned. Applicants will be fully trained in our proprietary philosophy and methods.

Position Requirements:

All Teacher-Tutors at Oxford Learning work after school and in the evenings(4:00 pm - 8:00pm).A school-year commitment is preferred. Continuing through the summer is even better. Your students will love working with you, and being reliable is a must.

This role is in-person. You must be able to commute to this location. This is not an online position. No relocation package is offered.Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree or similar certification in a relevant field

Experience:

• Some experience teaching/tutoring at a Kindergarten to Grade10 (or equivalent) level
• Strong English and French (as appropriate) written and oral communication skills and ability to guide students' understanding
• Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time
