Insight Global is seeking a Trust Lead for a leading law firm in Vancouver. The role focuses on managing client trust money movements, including receipts, cheques, and wire payments, while ensuring documentation and compliance with Law Society rules.

You will coordinate reconciliations, handle stale cheques, invested accounts, and tax reporting in collaboration with lawyers, accounting, and banks. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in trust or legal accounting, strong knowledge of trust practices

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of relevant experience in trust accounting or related function, ideally in a law firm or professional services.
• Experience processing trust transactions including receipts, payouts, transfers, cheques, and wire transfers.
• Strong understanding of trust accounting practices, Law Society requirements, regulatory obligations, and internal controls.
• Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related discipline preferred.
• Commercial real estate experience.

Responsabilités

• Manage day-to-day movement of client trust money, including receipts, cheques, wire payments, and transfers between accounts and client matters.
• Ensure proper documentation and compliance with Law Society requirements.
• Perform trust reconciliations, address stale cheques, manage invested accounts, and handle tax reporting.
• Collaborate with lawyers, accounting, and banks to ensure accuracy and timeliness of transactions.
