Overview

Are you a seasoned truck and transport technician who’s ready to pass on your knowledge? We’re looking for a skilled, hard-working individual to step into the role of Truck and Transport Technical Trainer at our head office in Dieppe.

Responsibilities
  • Be the go-to person for training our team of heavy-duty truck techs.
  • Build and lead hands-on training sessions that help our crew stay sharp, up to date and ready to tackle any job that rolls into the shop.
  • Teach and mentor technicians and the rest of the team on the latest tools, techniques, and repair methods.
  • Build training programs that are practical, effective, and easy to follow by working with our Service Managers.
  • Own the training manuals and keep them up to date and meeting stakeholder requirements.
  • Help keep our service team at the top of their game by being a mentor to our technicians.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of five years of experience as a technician in heavy-duty truck repair, with a strong understanding of diesel engines, electrical systems, and hydraulic systems.
  • Truck and Transport Red Seal License preferred.
  • Ability to obtain specialized technical training from Daimler.
  • Previous experience in a training or instructional role is preferred.
  • Energetic, Enthusiastic and team oriented with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional organizational, decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Computer skills including experience with Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as manuals, guidelines, training materials, resumes, evaluations, and assessments. Ability to write evaluations, performance reports, and correspondence.
