Eassons Transportation Group is seeking a Truck Driver (Class 1) with cross-border experience for positions based in Kentville, NS. The role involves long-haul routes across Canada and the United States, with an emphasis on safety, efficiency, and timely deliveries.

Expect to drive in teams or convoys, perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, and maintain accurate logs. A valid Class 1 license and one year of experience are required, with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• 1 year to less than 2 years experience in truck driving.
• Valid Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
• Willingness to cross-border travel and operate long-haul routes.

Responsibilities

• Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy.
• Load and unload goods.
• Operate and drive Class 1 or tractor-trailer to transport goods and materials.
• Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment.
• Perform brake adjustments.
• Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of vehicle.
• Receive and relay information to central dispatch.
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption.

• DRIVERS CAN EXPECT APPROXIMATELY 2,500 MILE PER WEEK
