Job summary

Herc Rentals in Surrey, BC is seeking a reliable Truck Driver to transport construction equipment between branches and job sites. You will operate large commercial vehicles, secure loads, perform pre-trip inspections, and maintain safe, on-time delivery while upholding professional customer service.

Qualified applicants have a high school diploma, at least 2 years of truck driving experience, and a valid CDL.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of general truck driving experience.
• Experience driving and towing trailers of various sizes.
• Flatbed truck driving experience preferred.
• Experience hauling construction or heavy equipment preferred.
• Valid CDL as required by role/state.

Responsibilities

• Transport, deliver, and retrieve construction equipment between the branch and customer job sites.
• Operate a large commercial vehicle in a safe, efficient, and compliant manner.
• Secure loads properly to prevent damage or safety hazards during transport.
• Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Promote professionalism and a strong customer service attitude in every interaction.
• Follow all applicable traffic laws, safety regulations, and company driving policies.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, branch staff, and customers regarding delivery status.

Job Purpose

Herc Rentals is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Truck Driver to transport construction equipment between our branch and local job sites. This role plays a key part in ensuring our customers receive their equipment safely, on time, and in excellent condition.

What you will do...

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent

Pay Range:$35 per hour
