Job summary

A transportation company in Peel Region, Mississauga is seeking a truck driver to operate and drive straight or articulated trucks. Responsibilities include loading/unloading goods, vehicle inspections, and performing maintenance. No prior experience is required as training will be provided, but a valid DZ class license and secondary school diploma are necessary. The position offers a salary of $36.00 per hour, with full-time hours ranging from 40 to 44 per week. This is a permanent position and applicants must be authorized to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

  • Load and unload goods.
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.

  • Perform brake adjustments and emergency roadside repairs.
  • Perform pre‑trip, en‑route, and post‑trip inspections and oversee all aspects of the vehicle.
  • Perform preventive maintenance.
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatch.
  • Tarp and ensure safety and security of cargo.

Responsibilities
  • Load and unload goods
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
