Job summary

A transportation and logistics company in Mississauga is looking for truck drivers to operate straight or articulated trucks, load and unload goods, and ensure vehicle safety. Candidates must have an AZ class license and a secondary school graduation certificate. This permanent position requires 30 to 35 hours of work per week, with training provided by the employer.

• Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy.
• Load and unload goods.
• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
• Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment.
• Perform brake adjustments.
• Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle.
• Receive and relay information to central dispatch.
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption.
• Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo.
