Truck Driver

Location: Moncton, NB B0P 1B0. Work location: On site. Salary: $22.00 to $26.00 per hour, 45 to 60 hours per week. Terms: Permanent, full‐time. Start: As soon as possible.

Responsibilities
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
  • Oversee vehicle condition and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment.
  • Perform pre‑trip, en‑route and post‑trip inspections and oversee all aspects of the vehicle.
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption.
Key Qualifications
  • Education: No degree, certificate or diploma.
  • Certificates/Licences: Air Brakes Endorsement; Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi‑trailer trucks); Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
  • Documentation Knowledge: Bill of lading; Driver logbook; Inspection report (pre‑trip, en‑route, post‑trip); Trip reports.
  • Travel Experience: Local, short‑haul.
  • Security & Safety: Driving record check (abstract).
  • Transportation/Travel Info: Drive manual transmission vehicle; Own transportation; Valid driver's licence.
  • Weight Handling: Up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs).
  • Tools/Equipment: Steel‑toed safety boots.
