Job summary

A transportation company in Brampton is looking for drivers with an AZ class license. You'll be responsible for route planning, loading and unloading goods, and ensuring vehicle safety. Responsibilities
Tasks
  • Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, global positioning systems (GPS) equipment, or other navigation devices, to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions
  • Professionalism in customer service
  • Arrange travel, related itineraries and make reservations
  • Load and unload goods
  • Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
  • Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatch
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
  • Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo
