Job summary

A transportation services company in Brampton is looking for a motivated Truck Driver to join their team. Candidates should possess a valid AZ class license and be willing to work on-site, as training will be provided. Responsibilities include operating trucks, loading and unloading cargo, and performing vehicle inspections. This full-time, permanent position requires individuals authorized to work in Canada.

Responsibilities
  • Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy
  • Load and unload goods
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
  • Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
  • Perform brake adjustments
  • Perform emergency roadside repairs
  • Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
  • Perform preventive maintenance
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatch
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
  • Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo
