Job summary

First Hire Inc. seeks an experienced Truck and Transport Mechanic to perform maintenance, inspection and repair of commercial transport truck systems at our on-site facility in Canada. The role requires hands-on inspection, road testing and adherence to manufacturer specifications.

Candidate should hold a Truck and Transport Mechanic Trade Certification with 3–5 years of relevant experience and a diploma or certificate in related trades. On-site work only, with company benefits available.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience as a truck/auto mechanic.
• Truck and Transport Mechanic Trade Certification.
• Other trades certificate or diploma required.

Responsibilities

• Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems
• Inspect mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions
• Inspect motor in operation
• Road test motor vehicles
• Test automotive systems and components
• Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems
• Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of truck-trailer systems
• Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications
• Perform scheduled maintenance service
