Job summary

Ardene is seeking a Footwear Product Developer to join our Footwear/Bags/Wallets team. You will research trends, translate them into brand-ready concepts, and drive products from development to production while aligning with design, fit, and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Completion of post-secondary education with a Graphic Design degree/diploma.
• Minimum of five years of related experience in footwear or product development.
• Proficiency in Mac and PC; strong knowledge of Adobe Illustrator CS+, Photoshop CS+, Acrobat 6.
• Ability to font and image source.
• Ability to crop and color correct images.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
• Positive, upbeat energy and collaborative team approach.

Responsibilities

• Research latest trends and runway shows; translate to brand vision.
• Develop designs from concept to production-ready products meeting standards.
• Negotiate and review prices with manager to meet margins.
• Communicate with suppliers; manage sample updates and technical packages.
• Review samples for accuracy; update tech packs and communicate factory changes.
• Track development timelines and manage product calendars.
• Create product architecture and development plans; determine materials standards.
• Analyze weekly sales to decide updates and actions; present findings.
• Conduct biweekly market competition analysis with the team.
• Collaborate with marketing for product alignment.
