A leading financial services provider is seeking a Treasury Specialist in Canada. This role focuses on compliance and risk management within Treasury operations, including monitoring fraud and supporting AML/ATF regulations. The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree and 5-7 years' experience in financial services, along with strong analytical and stakeholder engagement skills. This position offers a hybrid work arrangement and competitive salary ranging from $61,350 to $102,250 CAD.
The Treasury Operations department manages critical functions including bank relationship services, cash positioning and forecasting, and execution of daily receipts and disbursements. It also oversees compliance and control activities that safeguard the integrity of Treasury processes and ensure regulatory adherence.
The Compliance and Controls team drives governance, risk mitigation, and innovation within Treasury Operations. Key accountabilities include managing access controls for Treasury-owned applications, enforcing signing authority limits, monitoring payment fraud attempts, governing operational risk and payment risk to ensure resiliency, and managing business continuity planning (BCP). The team also manages regulatory compliance, oversees privacy and records, and serves as the first line of defense while advising as a subject matter expert on controls and regulations.
The Treasury Specialist, Compliance and Control reports to the Director, Treasury Compliance and Controls and plays a critical role in safeguarding Treasury Operations by ensuring adherence to regulatory and corporate compliance standards. This position focuses on monitoring payment fraud, supporting AML/ATF compliance, managing privacy and operational risk requirements, and maintaining robust governance practices. The role collaborates across Treasury teams to identify compliance gaps, implement corrective actions and drive process improvements that strengthen the control environment.
Certifications are preferred but not mandatory; equivalent experience will be considered.
