Job summary

First Onsite Property Restoration is seeking a Commercial Site Supervisor to lead on-site operations for commercial reconstruction projects. You will supervise crews, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure safety, schedule, and quality are maintained across multiple sites on a rotating schedule.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, accountability, and strong client communication, with travel across Central Canada and rotation-based site work.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction or restoration experience in site supervision.
• High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education is an asset.
• Knowledge of commercial building codes, safety regulations, and inspection requirements.
• Ability to organize, schedule, and direct multiple crews and subcontractors.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills with teamwork focus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with project management software and mobile apps.
• IICRC certifications or equivalent an asset; ability to obtain provincial asbestos certification required.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving abstract.
• Rotational on-call schedule participation.
• Ability to travel, including remote areas, as part of rotation.

You'll oversee field operations for commercial reconstruction and contracting projects, ensuring your crews and subcontractors perform safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. This 12-month temporary contract role supports commercial construction operations. This is a project-specific role requiring candidates to work onsite on a rotational schedule. Projects are located throughout Central Canada, with all required travel covered by the company.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A COMMERCIAL SITE SUPERVISOR

As a Commercial Superintendent, you bring structure, leadership, and accountability to every job site. You coordinate crews, subcontractors, and resources to ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget while maintaining the highest standards of safety and craftsmanship. Each day, you monitor progress, conduct inspections, and collaborate closely with project managers, clients, and adjusters to resolve challenges and keep communication clear. You take ownership of your sites, ensuring quality work, well-documented progress, and a culture of safety and teamwork. Your ability to lead by example and problem-solve in real time helps deliver successful projects and build long-term client trust.

• Must be able to participate in a rotating on-call schedule
• Ability to complete work activities that may involve material handling, lifting, climbing, and the use of personal protective equipment including respirators, safety footwear, and other required gear
