Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Engineering Technology or Journeyman Trade certification with at least 1 year of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of OH&S provincial safety standards.
• Knowledge of NETA standards is an asset.
• Experience with low/high voltage equipment as applicable by location.
• Able to solve problems effectively.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting.
• Strong oral and written communication; team player.
• Valid driver’s license if position uses a company vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, test, maintain, redesign, rebuild, retrofit, and repair electrical equipment on customer sites.
• Work away from home location for multiple days/weeks.
• Complete test reports to company and customer standards and timelines.
• Improve operations, decrease turnaround times, and streamline work processes.
• Maintain strong client relationships and assist in expanding project scopes.
• Walk through customers’ sites, inspect problems, and report to Sales/PM.
• Work in the shop when not completing field jobs.
• Collaborate with team to complete assignments and communicate requirements.
• Observe safety rules and company policies.
• Other duties as assigned.
