Registered Nurse – Obstetrics (OBS)/Labor and Delivery
Location: Northern Ontario
Rate: $90/hour + Travel and Accommodation Provided
Contract: 3 months (Full-Time, October to December), with potential for extension

SpeedStaff Medical is seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) for travel assignments in Northern Ontario. This is a unique opportunity to gain valuable experience in remote healthcare settings, deliver high-quality patient care, and make a meaningful impact in underserved communities.

About the Role

The RN will work in the Obstetrics (OBS) unit, providing comprehensive patient care and ensuring the well-being of expectant mothers, newborns, etc. This role requires adaptability, strong clinical skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality obstetric and nursing care.
  • Monitor maternal and fetal well-being, assist in labor and delivery, and provide postpartum care.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Maintain accurate patient documentation and electronic health records.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (RN) license with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
  • Minimum 2 years of Obstetrics (OBS) nursing experience.
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification required.
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) and FHS (Fetal Health Surveillance) preferred.
